Mark Dean

Pastor

Mark Dean first came to Missouri City in August of 1997 when Colony Baptist called him to be their pastor. He served at Colony until the church merged, becoming Sienna Ranch, where he continues to serve as pastor. Growing up, Mark lived in Detroit, Hong Kong, and Ft. Worth. He received a BA degree in Communications from Mississippi College and a M.Div. degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
In 1979 Mark married Marcia, his high school sweetheart. The Deans have two grown children: Sarah, who works in elementary education, and Bryan, who works in sports management. Mark loves being a grandfather to Avery and Isabella.

Previously Mark was the pastor of First Baptist Church of Ganado, Texas from 1987 – 1997 and Clark Baptist Church of Gonzales, Texas 1984 – 1987.

Mark’s passions are visiting with people; seeing God at work in lives; teaching the Word of God; applying truth in a simple, understandable way; building a Christ Culture; going where no one else will go to do what no one else will do; and sitting under a mango tree with the Mankanya people of West Africa. Mark also enjoys sharing a meal with friends; reading; and watching athletic events, especially where his students are playing.

Bill Faulk

Associate Pastor

Bill Faulk came on staff as the associate pastor in 2017 after leaving his position as vice president of a wealth management firm.  Before his time in the financial services industry, Bill was on staff with Sienna Ranch/Colony Baptist for 9 years as Youth Pastor and Pastor of Spiritual Formation.

Bill is almost a native Houstonian, being born in Chicago but moving to Houston at two months old.  He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1997 with a degree in Marketing, and attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

In 2005, Bill married his precious wife, Sunshine. As each year passes, he realizes more and more that he married way out of his league!  Bill and Sunshine have two amazing and energetic boys, Jordan and Ryan. As a family, the one thing they love the most is to be together.

Bill has always been passionate about raising up the next generation to follow Christ.  He loves to build teams, lay out strategies to accomplish goals, communicate God’s word, initiate relationships with people, and invest in their lives. Bill also loves both watching and playing sports, reading books, wrestling with his boys, and any home project with his wife.

Oliver Scott

Pastor of Worship

Oliver Scott is a native of Waco, TX where he was born the twelfth of thirteen children. Music was a family tradition, and from an early age he began mimicking his mom, dad and siblings. Ultimately Oliver was truly intrigued, and music became his life-long passion.

His musical gift was first nurtured in the small Pentecostal church he grew up in, and later he studied music theory and composition at Los Angeles City College. He has since earned his BA in Liberal Arts from the University of St. Thomas, Houston.

Oliver worked with the R&B group “The Gap Band” from 1979 to 1983. While with the band he also launched a songwriting and music production career.

In 1987 Oliver began service in full-time ministry as a minister of music and moved to Houston, Texas. He has worked in that capacity for more than thirty years while staying active as a songwriter and music producer.

Oliver and his wife Evelyn met while they were both in college. They have six adult children and five grandchildren. Oliver loves golf, basketball, walking and bike riding.

Oliver has served as Pastor of Worship since 2012 at Sienna Ranch Baptist.

Rory Dunson

Youth Pastor

At the age of fifteen Rory received a calling to pursue a life of full-time ministry. It wasn’t until years later, while working at a camp and leading a student to Christ, that Rory realized a more specific calling: youth ministry.

Rory has served in youth ministry since 2014. He has worked as a Youth Pastor for the past two years.

Rory is finishing his undergrad degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and plans to continue his education with a Masters of Divinity upon graduating. Second only to salvation, the biggest miracle in Rory’s life is his wife, Tana. Rory and Tana grew up together and they dated for 7 years before getting married on April 22, 2017. They are still madly in love, and are parents to 2 cats and 2 dogs.

Rory enjoys learning and growing, and helping everyone he meets do the same. Because of this, he is passionate about Titus 2:11-12 11For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. 12It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age…” and is grateful that God is allowing him to teach this to the amazing youth at Sienna Ranch Baptist. Rory’s greatest spiritual gift is serving: be it a lawn that needs mowing, a prayer that needs praying, or simply being there when needed, Rory will serve.

Sunshine Faulk

Children's Director

Sunshine is a Texas native from the panhandle.  After completing her degree in Sports and Exercise Science she moved to Missouri City to be a part of the Young Life staff. Sunshine and Bill have two amazing boys who bring them a great deal of joy, along with a great need for coffee! Sunshine has a passion to help equip parents and encourage them to be their children’s primary faith trainers. When Sunshine isn't homeschooling their boys, you’ll probably find her enjoying Mexican food, hanging out with family and friends, and taking way too many pictures!
