Mark Dean

Pastor


Mark Dean first came to Missouri City in August of 1997 when Colony Baptist called him to be their pastor. He served at Colony until the church merged, becoming Sienna Ranch, where he continues to serve as pastor. Growing up, Mark lived in Detroit, Hong Kong, and Ft. Worth. He received a BA degree in Communications from Mississippi College and a M.Div. degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
In 1979 Mark married Marcia, his high school sweetheart. The Deans have two grown children: Sarah, who works in elementary education, and Bryan, who works in sports management. Mark loves being a grandfather to his 3 granddaughters.

Previously Mark was the pastor of First Baptist Church of Ganado, Texas from 1987 – 1997 and Clark Baptist Church of Gonzales, Texas 1984 – 1987.

Mark’s passions are visiting with people; seeing God at work in lives; teaching the Word of God; applying truth in a simple, understandable way; building a Christ Culture; going where no one else will go to do what no one else will do; and sitting under a mango tree with the Mankanya people of West Africa. Mark also enjoys sharing a meal with friends; reading; and watching athletic events, especially where his students are playing.

Bill Faulk

Associate Pastor


Bill Faulk came on staff as the associate pastor in 2017 after leaving his position as vice president of a wealth management firm.  Before his time in the financial services industry, Bill was on staff with Sienna Ranch/Colony Baptist for 9 years as Youth Pastor and Pastor of Spiritual Formation.

Bill is almost a native Houstonian, being born in Chicago but moving to Houston at two months old.  He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1997 with a degree in Marketing, and attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.     

In 2005, Bill married his precious wife, Sunshine. As each year passes, he realizes more and more that he married way out of his league!  Bill and Sunshine have two amazing and energetic boys, Jordan and Ryan. As a family, the one thing they love the most is to be together.   

Bill has always been passionate about raising up the next generation to follow Christ.  He loves to build teams, lay out strategies to accomplish goals, communicate God’s word, initiate relationships with people, and invest in their lives. Bill also loves both watching and playing sports, reading books, wrestling with his boys, and any home project with his wife.

Oliver Scott

Pastor of Worship


Oliver Scott is a native of Waco, TX where he was born the twelfth of thirteen children. Music was a family tradition, and from an early age he began mimicking his mom, dad and siblings. Ultimately Oliver was truly intrigued, and music became his life-long passion.

His musical gift was first nurtured in the small Pentecostal church he grew up in, and later he studied music theory and composition at Los Angeles City College. He has since earned his BA in Liberal Arts from the University of St. Thomas, Houston.

Oliver worked with the R&B group “The Gap Band” from 1979 to 1983. While with the band he also launched a songwriting and music production career.

In 1987 Oliver began service in full-time ministry as a minister of music and moved to Houston, Texas. He has worked in that capacity for more than thirty years while staying active as a songwriter and music producer.

Oliver and his wife Evelyn met while they were both in college. They have six adult children and five grandchildren. Oliver loves golf, basketball, walking and bike riding.

Oliver has served as Pastor of Worship since 2012 at Sienna Ranch Baptist.

Scott Berry

Youth Pastor (Interim)


Scott was born in Buffalo, New York and moved to Houston when he was 4 years old. He graduated from Sharpstown High School and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Texas Tech University in 1989. Scott met his wife, Elyse, in high school and they now have two grown sons, Camden and Carlin.

Scott has been with Sienna Ranch/Colony Baptist since 2000 and has been serving in the Children’s Ministry for over 15 years and in the Youth Ministry for over 6 years. Scott has a passion and calling for teaching kids about the love of Christ and encouraging their spiritual growth.

Mandy Kisiel

Children's Director


Mandy grew up in Houston and graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Education, specializing in learning and childhood challenges. Mandy then married her best friend and traveled America as an Army wife. Bringing home 2 children, the Kisiel family made roots in Texas in 2000, adding to the family a little boy in 2005. Mandy has worked as a Children’s Worship Director, Children’s Ministry Director, K-3rd Grade Education Director, and a home school momma. Mandy has a heart for leading children and their families to enjoy and know Christ as the deepest love in life.

Blessed with gifts in creativity, hospitality, compassion, and perseverance, Mandy loves working with people and creating a joy filled place for the community. While people are dear to Mandy, you can always find her with a dog by her side accompanied by a silly Sun Conure named Beans. Mandy finds great peace knowing that the Lord truly loves us beyond all human understanding.

Katie Powell

Preschool Director


Katie was raised in Sugar Land, TX, and grew up going to Sienna Ranch Baptist (known as Colony Baptist when she was a kid). She earned her degree in Psychology at University of Houston-Clear Lake. Katie and her husband Troy met while she was working on completing her teaching certificate. Katie worked as a first grade teacher.

Katie and Troy have five amazing children that keep them on their toes. She has a real passion for children and their families. Katie’s goal is to help equip parents to teach their children about Jesus Christ in everyday life. When Katie’s not busy wrangling kids, you can find her catching up with friends or trying out a new recipe. 

Jennifer Brinton-Shearn

Office Manager/Financial Secretary


Jennifer came to Missouri City in 1998. She grew up in Bucks County, PA and as an adult has lived in Dallas, TX, Chattanooga, TN, and Overland Park, KS. Jennifer was a member of Trinity Baptist, and became part of the Sienna Ranch body when Trinity merged with Colony. She has always been an active volunteer in church and in the public school system, serving as both Vice President and President of the Sienna Crossing Elementary PTO. Jennifer‘s two sons, Chad and James, are now grown and she has three granddaughters.

Jennifer adores children and loves to chase her granddaughters around, read to them, or join them on the floor to play. She is an animal and nature lover and marvels at the intricacy and beauty of God’s creations. Snorkeling, scuba, boating and snow skiing all rank high on her list of favorite vacation activities. Everyday activities include enjoying her family, friends, dog Frisco, and good food.
